Evensong Farm’s Paso Fino horses are trained by Shaw Laney of Enoree, South Carolina, a nationally known and very talented trainer. Shaw has an extensive background in training Paso Fino horses, having trained professionally since age 16. In 2003, he received the much-coveted Trainer of the Year Award by the Professional Paso Fino Trainers Association at the Grand National Championship Show in Perry, Georgia. Shaw’s training methods are such that the horse develops to its fullest potential with a willing attitude. Any horse trained by Shaw is stamped with the trademark characteristics of flexibility, willingness, collection, and softness in the bit.
